Sara's Army-Toothless Plushie

One of my best friends, Sara, was recently diagnosed with leukemia. It has been a rough couple of weeks for everyone. The community has been rallying around her and there have been multiple fundraisers including a car wash, which raised around $3,000, four different LIVESTRONG bracelets, T-shirts, and many others that raised (as I am told) about $20,000 for Sara's treatment and her family.

Since Sara already has a ton of store bought items, I thought it would only be right to make her this. She is also a fan of How to Train Your Dragon and I hope this will make her feel better


The fabric used was a little bit harder to work with, but is super cuddly. I also edited the spike, head, and wing patterns to make it more proportionate and accurate to the Night Fury design. The claws are made from Sculpey oven-bake clay and are sprayed with metallic spray paint. It is hard to see, but I painted a leukemia awareness ribbon on the orange prosthetic tail fin with orange fabric paint. Both tail fins have paperclips in them to hold their shape, and the rear fins originally had them, but they made it difficult to stuff the tail.

....and to , NO, the head is not coming off lol......
